About the Opportunity

Our client, a private clinic in Eerste River, Cape Town, is seeking a committed Medical Officer (General Practitioner) to join their expanding team.
This role combines Primary Care and Occupational Health Services, providing you with the platform to apply your clinical expertise in a multidisciplinary setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical check-ups and health assessments.
• Perform medical fitness and baseline examinations (including biological, spirometry, and audiometry tests).
• Carry out periodic and exit medicals aligned with occupational risk exposure programmes (OREP + MAN SPEC).
• Provide evidence-based primary care consultations and treatment.
• Ensure accurate medical documentation and adherence to clinical and occupational health standards.
• Collaborate with nurses and occupational health teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Essential Requirements

• MBChB degree (or equivalent) and HPCSA registration as an independent practitioner.
• Completed Community Service year.
• Experience in occupational health and primary care preferred.
• Knowledge of spirometry and audiometry testing (advantageous).
• Excellent diagnostic, communication, and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
